To hide his deeply rooted bitterness Jimmy Rogers’s Father Red uses his great gift for telling stories to make him and those around him laugh at what he considers the absurdity of life. Red’s friends love to see him coming — to hear his latest joke. While filling up at Perkins Garage he asked Rich: “What did the Preacher say when the politician asked what the government could do to help the church?” The Preacher said: “Stop making one dollar bills”.
