In the Jimmy Rogers Chronicles, book 2 (It’s Impossible) Aaron Rizzer, a/k/a Professor Remember develops an unconditional love for Belle Belizaire. She is a stunningly beautiful, Haitian-African-American woman in her early twenties when she is hired to be the hostess at Aaron’s Professor Remembers Roadhouse & Bakery Cafe.
The joy Aaron came to feel whenever Belle would let him do the least little thing for her, shocked him as much as anyone. He had been a “business man” all his life and, was by nature very transactional. But, somehow he felt compelled to do for Belle without any expectation of receiving anything in return.
Because Belle is fiercely independent, she rarely lets Aaron do anything for her. This song fits well with a “grand plan” Aaron developed to help Belle create a YouTube channel that speaks of the dark side of being incredibly beautiful.
