In the Jimmy Rogers Chronicles, book 2 (It’s Impossible) Aaron Rizzer a/k/a Professor Remember was on his way to church one Sunday thinking about when the co-founders of WhatsApp sold it to Mark Zuckerburg for what ended up being about $24 Billion, those two were “one and done” he thought.
That one deal meant they were set for life. He pulled over to the side of the road and wrote the hook “If it’s one and done, sweet baby here I come, if it’s one and undone freight train here I come.”
After church he wrote the rest of the lyrics and the bridge was an adaptation of a text he had sent to Belle the night before which started out by saying: “I wonder if you knew, the joy that floods my heart and soul…” For the rest of that text, give the song a listen.
