Description
In the Jimmy Rogers Chronicles, Book 3 – The Appeal, Aaron Rizzer, the proprietor of Professor Remembers Roadhouse & Bakery Cafe takes up residency in a local hotel where Belle went to work as a front desk clerk when she left her hostess job at Remembers and started dating Hayden “Hack” Hackett”.
Aaron is still deeply in love with Belle and just wants to be near her to talk with her, laugh with her and do whatever the fiercely independent Belle will let him do even if it’s just picking up a pizza at Mama’s.
The hotel is managed by Belle’s aunt Evelyn Patterson, who in “It’s Impossible” sent Pastor McCormick to Aaron to accuse him of lusting after Belle.
In a very uncomfortable meeting with Aaron at Remembers in “It’s Impossible” (Book 2), Evelyn comes to realize she totally misunderstood Aaron’s motives regarding Belle. However, as “the Boss” at the Hotel for many years she is not accustomed to being “wrong” and harbors a hidden desire to “get back at Aaron” for his “dressing down” of her.
During Aaron’s residency at “her” hotel, she concocts a nefarious scheme that finds Aaron in a court of law fighting for his freedom.
